Year Long Comprehensive Programs
What is a year long comprehensive program?
While individual training sessions can offer meaningful benefits to teams, organizations seeking to deepen their understanding of pain, stress, and trauma and their impact on individuals can engage with Gap Relief through a comprehensive year-long program.
These programs include a series of thoughtfully curated group trainings, along with individualized consultation and targeted integration sessions. Together, these elements support both team members and leaders in building resilience and applying a more trauma-informed lens within their workplace. By revisiting and reinforcing these concepts over time, participants are able to move beyond initial awareness toward true integration and systemic change—outcomes that are often difficult to achieve through a single training experience.
Gap Relief’s year long programs provide group training, one-on-one consultation, and leadership development to support every level of your organization.
Our trauma-informed approach equips participants with practical strategies to address organizational needs, strengthen staff resilience, and reduce the impact of stress and trauma.
The comprehensive program is built for sustainability
Empowering those trained to independently continue the work without long-term support. Through our experience, we've learned that training smaller groups in a deeper, more experiential way leads to more lasting change than large-scale, didactic instruction.
The program features two main tracks:
The Ambassador Team Track, which covers core content, and the Administrator Consultation Track, which focuses on trauma-informed leadership and troubleshooting real-life challenges using resilience-based, human-centered practices.

The Ambassador Team consists of 10 members carefully selected by an administrator to participate in the year-long program. This team is strategically composed to represent diverse areas across the department, ensuring comprehensive cross-departmental representation. Throughout the program, Ambassadors not only engage with the full curriculum but also receive specialized coaching on how to effectively integrate this knowledge into their respective divisions. This approach creates a network of trained champions who can translate and apply program concepts within their specific departmental contexts, maximizing organizational impact and facilitating broader cultural transformation.

The Admin Track is designed for organizational and strategic leaders, guiding them through a structured program that integrates trauma-informed and human-centered principles into organizational systems. This track empowers leaders to adopt a human-focused perspective, providing practical strategies to reduce trauma impact and foster resilience within their teams. Delivered through 2-hour monthly meetings with a Gap Relief Representative, the program focuses on shaping culture, enhancing conflict resolution skills, and identifying systemic gaps. Leaders gain valuable tools to implement both structural and human-centered strategies for long-term sustainability. Personal wellness and self-awareness are also emphasized, ensuring leaders are equipped to navigate challenges effectively. Operating alongside the Ambassador Team, this track fosters a unified approach to organizational resilience.
