Counselor
Sam is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Counseling from John Brown University (JBU). He brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy, and he is committed to sitting with individuals through the problems they may be facing. He specializes in various therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). He has experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and trauma. Sam is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to navigate life’s challenges. Not only has Sam worked with children, adolescents, and adults in community spaces, but he has also guided new counselors in a directoral role at JBU's Community Counseling Clinic.
Sam is passionate about meeting with broken individuals in vulnerable spaces with compassion and empathy. While he seeks to address the impact the past has on an individual and their story, he believes in walking alongside clients to help them create a new narrative for themselves.
